• Impact Absorption Energy:
The steel plate should be tested for Charpy V-notch impact energy at -40°C in the tempered condition. The impact absorption energy Akv (the average of two transverse specimens) should not be less than 30 J. The impact absorption energy results for 603 steel plates are not used as a basis for delivery.
• Heat treatment: Quenching temperature 880~930°C, holding time 2~3min/mm, water cooling; Tempering temperature 580~620°C, holding time 3~5min/mm, water cooling
