• When the final rolling temperature of hot-rolled pipes meets the normalizing temperature, normalizing can be used as a substitute.
• Steel pipes with an outer diameter d≥57mm and a wall thickness T≥14mm shall undergo U-notch impact tests as standard specimens. The evaluation of impact test results shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 17505.
• Except for 12Cr2Mo, for other grades, when the wall thickness T is greater than 16 to 40mm, the yield point is allowed to decrease by 10MPa.
* Normalizing + tempering NT: Normalizing at 900°C to 960°C and tempering at 700°C to 750°C. It can also be heated to 900°C to 960°C first, then cooled in the furnace to 700°C, held for more than 1 hour, and air-cooled
• For steel pipes made of this grade of steel, when the outer diameter d is no more than 30mm and the wall thickness T is no more than 3mm, the yield point is allowed to be reduced by 10MPa.
