• When the final rolling temperature of hot-rolled pipes meets the normalizing temperature, normalizing can be used as a substitute.
• Steel pipes with an outer diameter d≥57mm and a wall thickness T≥14mm shall undergo U-notch impact tests as standard specimens. The evaluation of impact test results shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 17505.
• Except for 12Cr2Mo, for other grades, when the wall thickness T is greater than 16 to 40mm, the yield point is allowed to decrease by 10MPa.
* Normalizing + tempering NT: Normalizing at 930°C to 960°C, tempering at 680°C to 720° C. Holding time: more than 2 hours for periodic furnaces and more than 1 hour for continuous furnaces.
