① The hardness in the annealed and cold-drawn condition is permitted to be up to 50 HBW higher than that in the annealed condition.
② Tempering shall be carried out three times: 1 hour each time in a salt bath, and 2 hours each time in a box furnace or vacuum furnace.
③ The quenched and tempered hardness of the test specimens may be exempt from inspection if the supplier can guarantee it.
